How can I collect grass clippings and leaves?
With a John Deere compact tractor, you get the perfect mowing solution with the drive-over mower deck-- and there is a perfect solution for collecting grass and leaves too, the Frontier Material Collection system. This implement teams up with your drive-over mower to clean up your clippings. Without any tools, the Material Collection System boot attaches to the discharge opening of the John Deere drive-over deck. When using the system, the grass clippings are directly blown through the blower hose into the collection hopper. When the hopper is full you can dump the clippings wherever you choose. Clippings can be a great addition to a compost pile. The Frontier Material Collection system makes this tedious task simple. No need to spend hours on the lawn making sure all the pieces are picked up. With this implement you can get the job done fast without leaving your seat. There will be nothing left behind.
How many models of the Frontier Material Collection system are available?
There are currently two models of Frontier Material Collection systems: the MC2014 which has a 3-bag/14-bushel collection hopper that’s emptied by hand and the MC2120 which has a 20-bushel bulk collection hopper that’s emptied from the tractor seat. Both models are iMatch compatible.
Which mowers and tractors are they compatible with?
Both the MC2014 and MC2120 are compatible with 54-, 60-, and 72-inch drive-over mower decks. These decks are compatible with the John Deere 1 Series, 2 Series, and 3R compact tractors.
